Thank you so much for defending both Ukraine and Europe from the Russian menace. I'm sorry you got hurt in the process, but I'm also glad to hear you are recovering.

As a humble American, I send you my apologies for our own horrible dictator, Trump. We are doing our best to scrape him off the country's butt.

I myself knew little of Ukraine in 2022, only that it was somewhere in Eastern Europe, was not Russian, and whose women sometimes wore their hair in braids. Since then, I've not only learned a lot about Ukraine and its culture (I know cities, regions, history, art, food, its agriculture, sports, a few words, and even some songs) - but I've also helped fundraise, and donated over $7K of my own money, mostly to support front line troops, but also to some Ukrainian humanitarian causes as well.

I'm happy and confident that Ukraine (and Europe) will prevail, and help us all shove Putin and his orcs back to Russia, where the belong.

4 years ago my husband & I watched in horror as russia started its full scale invasion.
Unlike many I knew you would hold, because my Ukrainian friend who I met in college told me about Maidan, Crimea & all the other things that happened in the years before.
Because of that, I knew you are strong, brave, kind, smart and determined. I knew that and I believed in you.

But, I never imagined the absolute hell these pieces of shit would unleash on your country. I will never understand what you endured, the trauma, the grief, the pain, the stress.
Curse them forever for what they did to you. And bless you forever for what you did to fight back.
You are a hero in every sense. I am sure that on some days you just feel terrible, hurt, or maybe alone and forgotten. But you are not. You are NOT. Hello from Nevada. I have been cheering for Ukraine since 2014, but cheering and writing are not the same as physically doing something about the problem of Russia. Ultimately, it is about physics. I appreciate everyone who has so bravely physically fought against Russia. I have been learning about the history of Ukraine. I am proud to be supportive of this, the final battle, to finally defeat and break Russia forever.

The world owes you a debt we can never repay. You stood between us and evil. You stood when we thought you would fall, when we ourselves would have given up in fear and despair.

12 years ago we in the Netherlands got reminded about russian agression and ruthlessness.
russia never admitted being responsible for shooting down MH-17, instead they tried to lay blame on Ukraine. That day we got drawn into your war, I'm deeply saddened for how long it took before the amount of support was at least at the level it is now, it could have saved valuable lives. Seeing heroes of Ukraine use former Dutch gepards, f16, all kinds of gear and 2 minesweepers with co-trained crew. My respect for the Ukrainians that resist this imperialism in any shape or form is immense., the bravery of those who face the enemy is unmeasurable. The ingenuity, adaptability and constant improvement ceases to amaze me. Being still into the war like it's going now is all thanks to the hard work heroes like yourselves and has my endless respect. The battle you already won is the kickstart of Ukrainian integration into the rest of civilized Europe. War comes with isolation, being significantly cut off from information. You know little about others, nor they about you.
I don’t know who you are, what you go through, the sacrifices you make, the losses you suffer, nor the successes you achieve..
And you go through all that perhaps unaware that despite these hardships, there is actual support from people abroad. People who counter disinformation, donate, volunteer, and some even go to Ukraine to help.

And now the fellas are trying to stop aluminum from being shipped from Ireland to make ammunition not for you. The press and podcasters are making this story so huge the politicians in Europe are getting involved. Your people at home are sharing their strength with us.
