NAFO
The North Atlantic Fella Organization (NAFO, a pun on NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization) is an Internet meme and social media movement dedicated to fighting Russian propaganda and disinformation about Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine. It is classified as a form of information warfare.
In addition to posting irreverent comments about the war and memes promoting Ukraine or ridiculing Russia's war efforts and strategy ("shitposting"), the group also raises money for the Ukrainian armed forces and other pro-Ukrainian causes. The representation of an NAFO "Fella" is a Shiba Inu dog (based on the "Doge" meme), often used as an avatar and sometimes described as a "cartoon dog," or a "group of Shiba Inu soldiers."

NAFO Fella
In 2024, I joined The North Atlantic Fella Organization. From that point on, I have been an NAFO Fella. I saw the term NAFO passing by on social media for quite some time and didn't know where the term came from. It wasn't until I went Googling that I found out and decided to join this initiative.
You can register as a NAFO member for free if you can provide proof of donation to a fundraiser for Ukraine. After your application you can request a so-called forge, your own Fella image, based on the Shiba Inu dog, Below is my NAFO Fella forge.
Who made my forge?
It took me a while to figure out who made my forge, but through Twitter we found each other.
And I now also understand why it is that for me the creator was unclear for a while: the mail did say that 'Name' had made it. But I had assumed that in the place of Name should have been a name and that the sender had chosen anonymity. Only when I went searching on Twitter for #felladelivery combined with 'Dutch' did I see it, more than a year ago.
